We pick the cookbook. You pick the recipe. You cook it. We sit down together to eat, chat, and share our love of food!

Once a month we will email out a shortlist of recipes from a cookbook we love and want to share. You choose one of the recipes, make it at home (no Michelin skills required), and bring it along to share. There’ll be food, conversation, probably a few laughs, and definitely someone forgetting their dish in the oven - it happens.

WHEN: The first Friday of every month, 6.30pm until our bellies are full. First meeting, 6th June.

WHERE: Olive Branch, 27 Fore Street, Fowey.

HOW: We’re accepting an annual membership of £6 a month (with no obligation to come to every single session), which will accrue throughout the year and can be spent on the cookbooks of your choice at Shrew Books. If you choose the annual membership, you’ll also get 10% off all cookbooks at Shrew.

If you’d rather just drop in without committing to a full year, it’ll be £9 per session, and your funds will still go into a pot that can be used against the cost of any cookbook at Shrew, but without the 10% discount.

At Olive Branch we won’t be able to reheat many dishes, so we’ll make sure that the recipes we choose can be eaten cold, and if you’d like to bring something warm then you’ll need appropriate containers. And don’t forget to bring an extra container so that you can take home any leftovers from the spread of delicious dishes!​
